Congregation Care
Kevin Hawkinskhawkins@ibclouisville.org
Kevin grew up in North Mississippi where there are not only more Baptist churches on nearly every street corner but also probably more trees than people. After growing up in church most of his life, Kevin realized that he did not know Jesus and was not assured of anything other than death and future taxes. He came to know Christ at 14 and continued to be discipled throughout high school and college. Kevin graduated from Mississippi College in 2000 and later worked with the college ministry at Wright State University in Ohio. After working with troubled teens and other aimless post-graduate wanderers in Missouri, where there were definitely more trees than people, and finding his soon to be amazing wife, Tracy, Kevin began working on Masters degree in Louisville, KY where he reluctantly stumbled upon Immanuel Baptist Church, an eccentrically infectious body of believers who have helped him to treasure Jesus more than ever and allowed him to serve Jesus more faithfully. Kevin and Tracy were recently blessed with, Lord willing, a future ‘body part’ laden with lots of pink, named Hayle London. And so the world keeps turning while Kevin struggles daily to have faith and believe the gospel of God’s Son.
Juan Maclean - jmaclean@ibclouisville.org
Juan grew up in Miami, Florida and became a true Christian during his freshman year in college. He attended Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA and graduated in 2002 with a degree in Biblical Studies. In 2008 he graduated with a Masters of Divinity degree in theological studies from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. In 2002 he married Debbie Morris. Juan is primarily responsible for congregational care and hospitality.
Mercy
Keith Parkerkparker@ibclouisville.org
Keith was born in Valdosta, Ga.. Even though I thought I was Christian from an earlier experience at Church there was nothing in my life that gave evidence that I had been converted. I lived my life doing exactly what I wanted to do regardless of who I hurt. At the age of 24, God revealed to me that I was living a lie and was on the road to hell, (1 Corinthians 6:9-11). I repented of my rebellion against God and placed my trust in Jesus Christ. “For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God”. (2 Corinthians 5:21) In 2002, Keith, his wife Julie and their son, Race moved to Louisville, Ky. to attend Boyce College and by the grace of God was able to graduate in 2007. Also in 2007, God blessed our family to be able to adopt Van from Vietnam. I am presently working at a downtown mission for the homeless as director over the transitional housing.
John Randolphjrandolph@ibclouisville.org
The grace in which I currently stand is the free grace of God from first to last. Raised by Christian parents, I responded to an invitation to follow Christ at a young age. Although I occasionally doubted this 'decision' as a teenager, I came to see that God had, in fact, worked in my life to produce in me a love for Him, His people, and His Word. I continue to this day to repent of sin and believe the gospel, my only hope.
Serving as a deacon at IBC is a challenge and a joy. As a 'mercy ministry' deacon, I am humbled by the constant reminder that I can only show mercy to those we serve because I am a recipient of the mercy of God.
I am blessed to be married to Kristie, a beautiful and wonderful wife in every way. I recently graduated from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. I enjoy golfing, reading, and selling Mary-Kay products with my business partner, Juan Maclean.
Finances
Brian Prestonbpreston@ibclouisville.org
Brian grew up in Bolivar, Missouri—a town where the streets were rolled up at 6 p.m. and children could safely play outside after dark. He was frequently taken to church during his childhood and the seed of the gospel were sewn. During his first year at college he professed Jesus as Lord and Savior and was baptized at First Baptist Church of Bolivar. He received a bachelor degree in business administration, and began working in public accounting in 1996, eventually becoming a CPA. In 2005 he married Jillian Cummings and moved to Louisville to begin seminary courses. That same year the Prestons joined IBC. Brian was ordained a deacon at IBC in April 2007. He is currently deacon in charge of IBC finances. The Prestons were blessed with the birth of Augustus (Augie) on August 21, 2007.

Darrell Dow - ddow@ibclouisville.org
Darrell was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan and is blessed to be the son of godly parents who brought up their children in the fear and admonition of the Lord. Through their example and the gift of divine grace he was redeemed and given a new heart at a young age. Darrell graduated from Western Michigan University with degrees in Economics and History and works as a statistician. He is blessed to be married to the former Katherine Janelle Dickens. They are also the inadequate parents of three boys.
JC Tysonjtyson@ibclouisville.org

He attended a small engineering school in Flint, Michigan called Kettering University. During his time in college, he was involved in Campus Crusade for Christ, and it was through this ministry that he met his wife Randi.
