Families Matter (even when they are broken!)
We love families, first of all because God created them (Genesis 2:24), and secondly because they have such potential for glorifying God. When husbands are loving wives, they reflect the love Christ has for the Church. And, when wives joyfully submit to their husbands, they reflect the joyful love the Church has for Christ (Ephesians 5). On top of this, when fathers love and follow they reflect the relationship that God the Father has with Jesus Christ. So families are a tremendous display of God’s glory. In fact, even when families have been broken through divorce, death, or some other tragedy, these families can still glorify the God as they learn to love and trust Him in the midst of their difficulties.
