Ministry Opportunities

Our mission is to be gospel-centered people who serve the Lord Jesus Christ and desire to see the growth of His gospel in our church, in our city, and around the world. IBC exists to proclaim the mercy and grace of God found in Jesus’ death on the cross for our sins. We seek to carry out this mission in two ways:

1) By actively pursuing gospel transformation in our own lives through feeding on/submitting to God’s Word in reliance on the Holy Spirit.

2) By serving others and actively proclaiming the gospel in our community and around the world to those who do not believe.

Having been sacrificially and abundantly loved by God, we are zealous to pour our lives out in love for others. Our public ministry opportunities are visible manifestations of God’s love for us, and our love towards each other, our guests, and our neighbors.

The values that shape and define us as a church are a reflection of the biblical truths that we embrace. Simply put, our values are the practical expressions of what we believe. They can be summed up in the following points:

* We love the Gospel ~ God’s free grace for sinners
* We love sound doctrine ~ God’s Word rightly divided
* We depend on the active presence of God and the ministry of the Holy Spirit
* We pursue godliness through application of Biblical truth
* We are committed to building meaningful relationships with one another as a channel for God’s grace in our lives
* We love serving others through both word and deed ministries

All people are precious, being made in the image of God, and yet spiritually dead, and must be presented with the glory of God in Christ through the Bible and won savingly by grace through faith in Jesus. As they receive new life, we want them to grow and mature in their faith in Christ to the point of willingly and joyfully laying their own lives down for the sake of others, whether children or adults, whether across the street or around the world, so that all people everywhere will come to know and delight in God. This rugged, God-entranced, Bible-saturated, Christ-exalting faith of every saint will hopefully fuel a passion for Jesus and a zeal for missions that will, Lord willing, be unquenchable and unending.

Care Groups –Jeff King

Care Groups are one of the many blessings that members of IBC enjoy. They are small groups of men and women who gather on 2nd and 4th Sunday evenings of each month for the purpose of experiencing Biblical fellowship, meaningful relationships, and practical care. They are an integral and important aspect of membership at IBC. All new members are immediately placed in a Care Group following completion of their membership interview with an elder. Each Care Group is overseen by and interacted with by an elder.
