What does it look like to be a part of Immanuel?
As Immanuel, it’s our desire that all people cherish the reality of the good news that Jesus provides for all who believe. Believing in Christ opens a person up to one of the primary blessings God gives: a family, the church. As Immanuel, we long to love and care for one another so that everyone is enjoying the Gospel and walking in its power, fulfilling God’s mission for the world. Although we gather publicly on Sunday mornings and throughout the week in our gospel community groups, everyday life in your neighborhood and at your job is your main involvement as a part of Immanuel. As you live to advance the gospel in your neighborhood and workplace, Immanuel reaches out through you to extend the kingdom of God in the world. Additionally, we have several service opportunities in which we invite our family to participate.

Can I visit a gospel community group?
Yes, gospel community groups are a place where friendship, encouragement, and mutual care, and mission regularly happen in the life of our community. In order to visit a gospel community group in your area, follow this link. Additionally, you may visit any group where you already know folks in our community. Our desire is that Christians living in proximity to one another would gather in these groups not only to share life together, but also to partner with one another in advancing Jesus’ mission in the world. We want our visitors to know the kind of community we are striving to be in hope that you too will join with us!

How can I get help/counseling at Immanuel?
We are eager to love and help you. Those in our church who are involved in counseling others are eager to understand your struggles. Their most important qualification is that they have all come to trust in Jesus Christ as their own Lord and Savior! You can be assured that whoever gives you counsel will dedicate themselves to pursuing your good. Our counselors are committed to serving you by seeking to understand your particular struggles and then compassionately pointing you to Christ through God’s Word. Whether you are a member of Immanuel or not, if you are interested in receiving discipleship/counseling or if you have family members, friends, or neighbors who live in the Louisville area who are interested in receiving counseling, we would be delighted to help. Please contact the church office at (502) 585-2733.

What if I have more questions?
As people think through Christianity and even consider joining a church, many questions arise. There are several places to get the answers you need. We encourage you to gather with us on Sunday or visit a gospel community group in order to spend time with our people so your questions can be answered.
